Cancer and Healthy Eating and Lifestyle Habits – Kick Start Workshop

Following many requests for more in depth ongoing support for families experiencing cancer and the resulting health challenges, we are delighted to have received funding for 20 places on a nutrition and lifestyle group programme, and excited to have secured two experienced practitioners to facilitate the course.

Each workshop includes a mix of nutrition guidance and coaching support, designed to empower participants for lasting healthier habits change.

Every-one is invited to join The Kick Start Workshop, which takes place on Friday 25th October 10:30 to 12:30. You will leave the workshop with everything you need to get you started to help you regain energy and start the journey of getting back to how you want to feel.

The programme, a series of 6 workshops, will take you through practical simple solutions to support your health. This is a pilot programme, the first of its kind and we currently have 8 spaces remaining. Please contact us ASAP to secure your place.

Importantly, you will have ongoing support to help you apply the nutrition guidelines in your lifestyle and around your current health needs:

  • Tasty and easy to make meal ideas and recipes
  • Learn how to form healthy habits without feeling restricted
  • Understand the impact of stress, sleep, digestion, physical activity and mindfulness
  • Get motivated and inspired!
  • Take control and feel supported as you navigate your way back to health
  • Have confidence that you are doing all you can
  • Ask questions, share ideas, concerns, and experiences as part of a community of people going through the same back to health journey

Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop

This workshop will take place on Tuesday 12 November from 11am to 1pm, and will provide an introduction to mindfulness. Mindfulness focuses on how we can live better with whatever situation we’re in, and the course teaches skills helpful for steadying attention, relaxation, dealing with difficult thoughts and flourishing in the midst of everyday life’s problems.

This two-hour workshop will cover the following: – what is mindfulness – what’s involved in the course – what I can expect to gain from the course – some simple practices, to get an experience of what we teach in the course.

During the workshop, you’ll be encouraged to ask questions, and afterwards have the opportunity to apply for the next 8-week mindfulness course starting in early February at Paul’s.
